Armenian chess players weren’t able to take prize place at Blitz World Championship in Dubai. Gabriel Sargsyan, who started the championship well, later wasn’t able to maintain the same tempo and left the fight. Levon Aronyan started bad, but later had 4 victories and approached the leaders. Alas, he unexpectedly lost the 18th round and also left the fight. Finally, Levon Aronyan took the 6th place with 13.5 points. By the way, in the penultimate round our chess player defeated tournament’s leader Ian Nepomniachtchi and by this helped Magnus Carlsen to be the first and be the champion also in the blitz. Gabriel Sargsyan took the 9th place with 13 points, Zaven Andriasyan- 29th place (12 points), and Sergey Movsesyan- the 68th place (10 points).
