Armenia’s PM receives French Ambassador

Armenia’s Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud. The Armenian premier expressed his satisfaction with the development of Armenian-French friendly relations and stressed the importance of developing comprehensive bilateral cooperation. The head of the Armenian government also expressed his appreciation for the financial and technical aid that France has been rendering to Armenia since its independence, as well as for France’s efforts towards reaching a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group. The interlocutors discussed prospects of closer bilateral trade relations. Armenia’s premier presented to the French ambassador the priorities of the Armenian government, as well as practical steps to implement reforms in various areas. Hovik Abrahamyan welcomed the activities of financial companies in Armenia and stressed the importance of new investments in various sectors. With respect to the Armenia-EU relations, the Armenia official said Armenia is interested in preserving and developing its achievements. In his turn, Ambassador Henri Reynaud reiterated France’s readiness to continue supporting Armenia in various areas, including development of relations with the European Union (EU). Hovik Abrahamyan invited his French counterpart to Armenia to discuss the expansion of bilateral economic cooperation.
