The reports about unexpected storms and rainfalls in Armenia do not correspond to reality, says Zaruhi Petrosyan, head of the Operative Hydro-Meteorological Center at the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“Talks and fears about unprecedented weather changes in the republic, including sudden hurricanes and hails, are false,” Zaruhi Petrosyan told reporters on June 17. She added that some organizations are interested in spreading rumors about weather but she did not give any names. “Some organizations make weather forecasts for us but we usually inform people of all unexpected changes on our website,” she said.
The specialist says the summer is expected to be very cool in Armenia.
