Did you come here to interrupt the conference? (video)
Today Yerevan hosted a Russian-language conference without Armenian translation which immediately aroused objections from attendees. Angered by the fact, Deputy Economy Minister Garnik Badalyan said, “I am sorry to say that when I participated in the drafting of this law, I do not know where you were. Go and defend the Law On Language in some other place.” The official added that Armenia has an agreement with the Customs Union according to which Russian should be made working language during official meetings. “Will you go there and speak Armenian? What is on your mind? To come here and disturb the conference?”
