ARF with the demand of canceling the decision of Mikoyan’s statue installation
On April 30, 2014 Yerevan city council, without informing the public and without discussions with specialists, decided to install Bolshevik party member, Stalin’s misanthrope regime active figure Anastas Mikoyan’s tomb. The decision has been strongly criticized by representatives of different spheres, but the Municipality persistently reaffirms its decision to install the statue by claiming that it doesn’t have documents, which prove Mikoyan’s anti-Armenian positions and complicity in criminal activities carried out by the Bolshevik regime. ARF Yerevan city council has initiated professional conference on June 10 in small hall of Philharmonic, which conclusion will be officially presented to Yerevan council and RA Government staff with the demand of canceling the decision of Mikoyan’s statue installation.
