Judge leaves courtroom without saying a word (video)
The situation is very tense at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Kentron and Kanaker-Zeytun districts where the trial of reserve colonel Volodya Avetisyan is underway. The judge left the courtroom because of the turmoil. Passions heated up after the prosecutor Karen Harutyunyan petitioned the court to read out the bugged phone talks of the defendant Volodya Avetisyan. Attorney Ara Zakaryan protested, saying it was in violation with human rights. However, when the prosecutor began reading out the notes, the audience demanded to show the original recording. Without saying a word, Judge Levon Avetisyan left the courtroom. Now everyone is waiting for the judge to return and continue the hearing.
