On June 6, the Media Centre hosts a press conference by Dem am (I am against) pressure group which is campaigning against the introduction of the mandatory pension reform in Armenia. Guests at the studio are members of the initiative group David Manukyan, Srbuhi Ghazaryan and Armen Abroyan. On May 15, the National Assembly approved the amendments to the Law on Funded Pensions on May 15. Under the law, employers must not make mandatory deductions from citizens’ salaries who have expressed their refusal to participate in the system in a written application. Members of the pressure group will discuss the situation in the country after the adoption of the law and speak about their future steps.
