Brazil Ambassador in Armenia Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro is surprised at the fact that only 10 people from our country will be present at Football World Cup 2014, which will start on June 12 in his homeland. “Two of the applicants have won the tickets from “Ameria” bank, one is volunteer, who will deal with organizational issues of the matches. Of course, it is very less compared with neighboring countries and Russia,”- said Brazil Ambassador at the press conference. It turn out that an Armenian football lover needs at least 10 thousand dollars to pay all expenses (match tickets, travelling, hotel, food and so on). Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro explains it in this way, “The World Cup is organized by the FIFA, but not Brazil Government. Of course there are people, who use the opportunity and increase the prices for high incomes. I won’t do such thing,”- said Brazilian Ambassador. Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro is sure that Football World Cup will be a real feast, though there are Brazilians, who are against holding the championship, “Only 100 or less people complain, but there are 200 millions people in Brazil. Our 3.6 millions citizens have already bought tickets. I am sure that Brazilian people will turn this football championship into a real feast,”- summed up Monteiro.
