David Muradyan elected Rector of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema

Honored Art Worker of Armenia, Professor David Muradyan has been elected Rector of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema. David Muradyan was the only candidate for the post which had been vacant after the death of Rector Armen Mazmanyan. Muradyan was elected by a vote 19 to 1. "I am convinced that our Institute will finally overcome all hardships and all offended pedagogues that left the establishment because of someone's ambitions will return to work at the Institute," dramatist Levon Mutafyan wrote on his Facebook account after the vote. "All ordeals and negative attitudes will be left behind and more attention will be paid to our Alma Mater, specifically to its neglected branch in Vanadzor," he wrote.
