Has Armenia joined any international organization together with Karabakh?
Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan said at the National Assembly on June in reply to journalists’ inquiries about Ilham Aliyev’s letter read out at the May 29 meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana.
The minister says no customs border can be established between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Moreover, he added that Karabakh will continue to take its products to the international market through Armenia without any obstacles.
On May 29, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the host of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, read out a letter from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in which the latter demanded that Armenia be admitted into the Eurasian Union only within its borders recognized by the United Nations, i.e. without Nagorno-Karabakh.
