Detainee held in custody with handcuffed hands
According to the report of Tigran Ts., a criminal case has been instituted based on the materials prepared in the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia under Article 309, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, the SIS Press Service reports. According to the report of Tigran Ts., on May 5, 2014 at about 24:00 he was taken into custody in the Stepanakert Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia where his hands being chained with handcuffs and in violation of the law he was detained in custody for a long time, thereby, causing essential harm to his rights and legal interests. A preliminary investigation is under way. A person suspected or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent until proved guilty in the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of RA by the effective court judgement.
