“New names” gather in Yerevan (video)
From June 1-4, “New names” young musician- performers 4th international festival will be held in Yerevan, about 40 young musician- performers under 18 from Russia, Denmark, Canada, Cuba, Latvia, Vietnam, Georgia, Czech Republic, Malatya and Armenia will take part in it. The festival is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenian “New names” project. Today at the meeting with journalists RA Culture Deputy Minister Arthur Poghosyan stressed that the festival intends at mastering the skills of young performers, he also added that there are many such festivals, but this one is unique with its style. “New names” project head Silva Melkonyan said that festival participants have always had brilliant performances in Armenia and abroad. On June 4 at 18:00, festival’s closing ceremony will be held in Aram Khachatryan hall.
