Employees of Nairit Plant have received their unpaid salaries for a month, Kamq (Willpower) civil initiative civil initiative reports.

The employees planned to hold a series of protests starting May 21, calling for the plant administration to repay their salaries of 15 months but decided to cancel them after the administration promised to solve the problem.

Nairit Plant CJSC, which produces chloroprene rubber and was considered a giant of its kind during the Soviet era, hasn’t been operating since 2010. Only 500 of its 2500 employees today work in the plant.
