Teens arrested for damaging railway tracks

Employees of the Police Vardenis Department and South Caucasus Railways CJSC arrested on May 28 two teenagers who were damaging the railway lines that link Shorja to Vardenis.

The detainees, Levon H., 12, and Hovsep N., 13, both residents of Areguni village, were damaging the rails with nails.

Explanatory work is being carried out with the boys at present, the South Caucasus Railways CJSC said, reminding that such actions threaten citizens’ lives and health, as they do not only lead to train-schedule breakdown, but may also cause train accidents.
