“Armenia’s security is threatened. The security of Armenian people should always be in the spotlight regardless of the fact whether they live in Armenia or outside the country. We have a lot of opponents, even enemies. Two of our neighbouring countries do not view Armenia as their neighbour. Besides, there is a force inside Armenia that declared itself an enemy of the nation. I already feel the smell of a civil war,” Azat Arshakyan, a former political prisoner, a deputy of the Supreme Council, told A1+.
He is against Armenia’s joining the Customs Union. “Armenia is forced to make concessions by joining the Customs Union. But I say that I am against the accession and I shall struggle against the decision,” he said.
