Varuzhan Hakobyan and Tatev Abrahamyan continue the fight
Armenian chess player Varuzhan Hakobyan representing the USA continues the fight for the champion’s title of the country. At the Men’s chess tournament in Saint Louis our compatriot, as well as Alexander Lenderman and Gata Kamski, scored seven points and shared 1-3 places. Additional tournament must be held for deciding the winner with the participation of these three participants. At women’s tournament Tatev Abrahamyan scored 6.5 points form 9 possible and together with Irina Krash and Anna Zatonskikh shared 1-3 places. Now at the additional tournament our compatriot will try to gain US champion’s title for the first time.
