A journalist might behave immorally, but a lawmaker has no right to say such things, Ashot Melikyan, Chairman of the Committee for Protection of Freedom of Speech, said commenting on today’s incident that involved Republican MP Shushan Petrosyan and journalist Ruzanna Stepanyan. “Shushan Petrosyan is a well-mannered person and should not have made such an inappropriate statement. The person who cannot communicate with journalists has no right to be engaged in politics,” said Ashot Melikyan.
