Unemployment remains a big problem for many Syrian Armenians who fled to Armenia after a war started in Syria.
Although before arriving in Armenia they were aware of unemployment and poverty in their homeland, they do not regret settling in their homeland. Many of these people have been forced to leave their destroyed and looted homes, businesses and belongings that took them a century to build or acquire.
One of them is Vruyr Minerjyan who came to Armenia a year ago. Despite the obstacles he encounters daily, Vruyr does not regret his decision to come to Armenia and says he has a strong desire to stay in Armenia even if he receives a low pay.
