Getting ready for elections
As we have already informed on June 8 local government elections will be held in Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Shirak, Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions. We learn form CEC website that there are 14 candidates in Aragatsotn, two of whom rejected their nomination. 5 candidates from 6 will struggle for local elections in Ararat region. There are 33 candidates in different communities of Gegharkunik. There are 8 candidates in Lori region and 4 in Kotayk. 9 from 10 candidates will struggle in Shirak region. There are 10 candidates in Syunik, 5- in Vayots Dzor. In 37 communities, community heads will be elected, in 30- council members.
