Eduard Sharmazanov: Armenia is determined to continue political dialogue with EU
Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Eduard Sharmazanov, received Canan Atilgan, Regional Head of Regional Head of Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Mr Sharmazanov hailed the Foundation’s activities aimed at promoting democracy, human rights and justice. The Armenian official assured his guest that Armenia’s decision to join the Russia-led Customs Union does not reduce the chances of Armenia’s dialogue with the European Union (EU) and collaboration with the European organizations. Armenia is determined to continue political dialogue with EU, he stressed. Canan Atilgan said in turn that they are ready to continue assisting Armenia in democratic reforms and European integration. The interlocutors also discussed the future cooperation between the Armenian parliament and Konrad Adenauer Foundation. At the request of Ms Canan Atilgan, Eduard Sharmazanov presented his views on regional security, Armenia’s political situation, and the program of the country’s new government.
