Gyumri-based Shirak Centre NGO continues to visit homeless people sheltered in ‘domiks’ - wagon-like temporary tin houses that appeared in the city after the devastating earthquake of 1988 housing about 4,000 Gyumri residents. People live in awful conditions in the ‘domik’ district. Among them you can find many elderly people who live in complete isolation in a ramshackle tin-house which is not protected against rain and snow. The next video of the NGO tells about an elderly woman who has been living alone since 2008 after she lost her 33-year-old son.
