Armenian Parliament to continue discussion on pension law (video)
The National Assembly is set to continue Wednesday the discussion of the bill on making amendments to the RA Law on Funded Pensions. The need for the adoption of the law emerged following the Constitutional Court’s April 2 decision whereby the high court urged the parliament and the government to amend the disputed provisions of the law. The bill was submitted to the legislature on Tuesday evening by Artem Asatryan, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. If adopted, the bill will suspend the implementation of Article 76, freeing people from liability to make mandatory pension payments for the previous months, as well as for delays.
