Spokesman for the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Tigran Urikhanyan says Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s unexpected arrival at a closed door meeting of the four non-coalition parliamentary parties was a surprise.
“Although we hope that the visit will produce positive results,” said the BHK official.
During the meeting, the opposition quartet submitted to the prime minister proposals on funded pensions.
Tigran Urikhanyan expects the government to discuss the proposals and find a solution that will satisfy the demands of the society.
“The funded pension system cannot be imposed on our citizens in its present form. We need to find the best option to neutralise its negative impact,” Mr Urikhanyan told A1+.
