Aghvan Vardanyan: Everything depends on political majority’s response
The Cabinet’s actions connected with the law on the funded pensions should not be linked with the personality of newly appointed Prime Minister, says the secretary of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun. “They should honour the decision of the Constitutional Court, irrespective of their moods and wishes,” said Aghvan Vardanyan. To curb the continuing protest, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said his government will submit to the National Assembly a draft bill under which employers will not punished if they do not make deductions from employees’ salaries and transfer the money to special funds. Aghvan Vardanyan does not hurry to hail the premier’s statement; he says everything depends on political majority’s response to the legislative package that was proposed by the opposition quartet.
