Torchlight procession commemorating Genocide victims starts in Yerevan (video)

The traditional torchlight procession in commemoration of Armenian Genocide victims has launched in Yerevan. Before marching to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial, participants burned a Turkish flag to protest Turkey’s denial of the fact of the Genocide. The burning flag provided fire for torches to be lit.

The traditional torchlight procession is organized by the Youth Union of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation – Dashnaktsutyun and Nikol Aghbalyan Union.

This is the 15th torchlight procession in Yerevan.

“Turkey should be punished,” vociferated the participants as they headed to Tsitsernakaberd memorial to commemorate the 99th anniversary of the atrocious crime.
