Who is Volodya Avetisyan? A retired army colonel and freedom fighter arrested for allegedly for taking bribes. Volodya Avetisyan is a participant of the Artsakh war who took part in the liberation of Karvachar and headed Vardenis detachment. Today, Avetisyan is in the Nubarashen penitentiary institution. He was detained on September 20, 2013, on suspicion of receiving $2000 from an official of the Ministry of Defense for assistance to release an Armenian citizen from military service. Pre-parliament movement has made a video telling about the retired colonel.
