First Fish festival was held in Armenia, cooks from different regions took part in it. The festival was held near Abovyan municipality.
Each of them decorated their stall, where fish cooked with unique solutions was suggested.
Fish festival was organized by “The culinary traditions development and maintenance” NGO.
Organization head Sedrak Mamulyan notes, “Our country must be well presentable in tourism, new dishes made from our fish must be introduced.”
The teams were well prepared and according to the jury the choice was difficult. The jury was guided by participants’ fish taste, look and the way of presentation.
The main prize went to cook Arthur Sahakyan for “Trout” dish.
The participants received certificates in the following categories”
“Best partner”, “Best opening”, “Best imagination”, “Best cook”, “Best stall”, “Best look”, “Best taste”.
Afterwards Fish festival will be annual.
