I was elated to learn that I am becoming a member of parliament for a second time, says Republican Lernik Alexanyan. He says his primary task will be to go to the National Assembly and find out which committee he is involved in.
Earlier on Friday, the Central Election Commission terminated the powers of Republican lawmaker Hovik Abrahamyan. Lernik Alexanyan, the next candidate on the party’s electoral list, took the mandate.
Before becoming a lawmaker, Mr Alexanyan was engaged in agriculture in his native village in Ararat.
The MP says in parliament he will be guided by the motto, “More work, less talk.” The National Assembly is not a place for empty talks.
