Heghine Bisharyan, a lawmaker of the Country of Law Party (OEK) has presented the results of the OEK political council’s meeting held earlier on Wednesday. She says the political council considered the party’s representation in the coalition government inexpedient. The three ministers of the party - Sergo Karapetyan, Samvel Tadevosyan and Armen Yeritsyan - have already submitted their resignation letters to quit the party. In reply to our inquiry whether the OEK will become opposition or not, Vice-Chairman of the Party Hovhannes Margaryan advised addressing the question to the OEK Leader Artur Baghdasaryan, though he did not exclude the possibility. He also brushed aside the allegation that the reason for their decision was the fact that Baghdasaryan was not appointed prime minister. Hovhannes Margaryan says they realized that the three ministerial portfolios are not enough to participate in the governance of the country, and despite the great achievements the party has had in the last six years in cooperation with the ruling Republican party,  many of the OEK campaign promises have not been fulfilled.
