"Dem am" civil movement addressed letter to Serzh Sargsyan
Dem am (I am against) civil movement campaigning against the mandatory funded pension system in Armenia has addressed a letter to Serzh Sargsyan. “Today, the executive power [in the face of the government] apparently violates the Constitutional Court's ruling and Article 3 of the Constitution, which envisages that the state shall be limited by fundamental human and civil rights as a directly applicable right and continues making illegal mandatory pension contributions. In the given situation, when the government violates the Constitution and the Constitutional Court's decision, the President is to take drastic steps to ensure the implementation of the CC decision. With this letter-form, each of us regardless of age as a citizen of Armenia who views the Constitution and the principles enshrined in it as absolute values, require that the President ensure the implementation of the Constitution, forcing the executive authority to fulfill the CC decision in due manner,” reads the letter.
