“CAT” ARRIVED

Monumental sculpture ”Cat” by Fernando Botero was unveiled today. The black giant cat of 2,5 height was placed at the bottom of Kaskad. It’s a present to Armenians by Gafeschean Museum Fund.

The sculpture has 3 duplicates. The Fund procured one of them for Armenia.

“Mr Gafeschean is very glad for the “Cat” to arrive to Yerevan” , John Waters, Gafeschean’s representative said at the opening ceremony.

Accroding to him, it’s the first specimen of the world collection.

All the territory of Kaskad was given to Gafeschean Museum Fund to build Gerard Gafeschean Modern Art Museum. The Fund will invest 20-25 million $ for the museum construction.
