Hovik Abrahamyan to become Armenia's next Prime Minister (video)
Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan will become the 13th prime minister of Armenia, Spokesman for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), Eduard Sharmazanov, today announced following the meeting of the HHK Executive Body. Sharmazanov said new prime minister will be granted broad powers, but he will not be guided by the principle of kinship. The HHK official also said that his party is ready to discuss the issue of cooperation with the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and Armenian Revolutionary Federation –Dashnaktsutyun. On April 3, Tigran Sargsyan stepped down as Prime Minister of Armenia.
