The General Prosecutor's Office is trying to intimidate the members of Dem am (I am against) civil movement, say the members of the pressure group. "But I am sure that they will not succeed," said Gevorg Gorgisyan, a member of the civil movement. Earlier in the day, the Prosecutor's Office condemned the April 9 sit-in organised by the group in Yerevan's Nalbandyan street, saying any attempt to paralyze traffic and close streets is punishable. "The Constitution stipulates that civil disobedience is a a non-violent, peaceful way of expressing discontent with authorities and their policy," said another member of the group, lawyer Gevorg Hayrapetyan. Members of the pressure group connect the 'warning' of the Prosecutor's Office with their rally to be held near Matenadaran on April 12. The four opposition forces will not participate in the rally. "At this stage, their mission can be considered completed. Now they will continue the struggle in parliament," said the group members.
