Renowned scholar Yuri Alaverdyan died
After long illness, at the age of 73, renowned scholar, Doctor- Professor of Economics, pedagogue Yuri Alaverdyan died. Yuri Alaverdyan was born in 1941 on February 15 in Nagorno Karabakh Hadrut region Hin Taghlar village in the family of teachers. Ending school with gold medal in 1958 Y. Alaverdyan entered Yerevan State University, faculty of Economics, "Finances and Credit" department. After successful graduation, Y. Alaverdyan took a number of responsible positions in Armenian Finance Ministry system working as a budget chief inspector, chief economist and head of the department. Yuri Alaverdyan was also the founder and the rector of Yerevan Financial and Exchange University. Y. Alaverdyan is an author of a number of scientific works and monographs.
