Poplars’ deep cut off is done
For excluding the risk of poplars’ falling, which have superficial roots and which can fall in case there are strong winds, Yerevan streets and yards poplars are made younger through cut offs. “Dangerous poplars are inventoried as a result of Yerevan Municipality Ecology protection department monitoring and citizens’ calls. Department specialists study the poplars, then, based on the relevant decision, if the cut off can’t be done by our measures, MES Yerevan Department supports us. Noting that their height is over 30 meters (till 60 meters), landscaping companies carry out cut offs with the MES technical support, in the presence of rescuers,”- said Yerevan Municipality staff Ecology protection department deputy head Suren Maksapetyan.
