Armenian freestyle wrestling team head trainer Arayik Baghdatyan is pleased with the results of the team in European tournament in Finland. “Now we are on the sixth place, which is a good result. I am sure if world champion David Safaryan took part in the tournament and there was one more medal, Armenia would be on the third place,”- said Arayik Baghdatyan during today’s press conference. Armenian wrestling federation general secretary, NA deputy Bazmaser Arakelyan also highly appreciated our wrestlers’ performances by adding, “We had regular gold medal in the tournament, but we didn’t met pour champion in the way as in neighboring rival country. ANOC President Gagik Tsarukyan had time to come to the airport, but from our Sports Ministry, no one was present.” European vice champion Grigor Grigoryan and bronze medalist Garik Barseghyan were also present at the conference. Two wrestlers noted that they lost to the opponents only because of the lack of experience.
