On April 6, a requiem was served in St. Etchmiadzin Church of Tbilisi for the souls of the people killed in the Syrian war. The ceremony was attended by His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Primate of the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church. After the service, a group of Armenians accompanied by Priest Manuk Zeynalyan headed for the UN Office in Georgia, carrying posters and flags of Armenia and Georgia. They demanded that the violence against peaceful civilians in Syria be immediately stopped and Turkey be made accountable for assisting the terrorist groups that attacked Armenian-populated Kessab twon and the neighbouring areas.
