It turned out that Policemen play better
Today on April 5 at Armenian Chess Federation, a selective tournament was organized between RA lawyers and RA Police. RA Chamber of Advocates head External Relations Advisor, chamber’s sports-cultural club head Vrezh Khachikyan, RA Chess Federation founder president Smbat Lputyan and RA Police Military and Physical readiness department head, “Dinamo” UAP President first chairman, Police Lieutenant Colonel Garnik Hayrapetyan made opening speeches. The play organizers greeted the participants and stressed that this Friendship Tournament is the first in Armenia in its format. Advocates’ Chamber President Advisor Vrezh Khachikyan noted in his opening speech, “This tournament gives opportunity to strengthen the ties between lawyers and policemen, which aim is their cooperation and more efficient work.” Lieutenant Colonel Garnik Hayrapetyan greeted play participants on the behalf of RA Police Head Vladimir Gasparyan and wished victory. The game was run by an international referee Armen Nikoghosyan. The participants competed by shereningenyan style. Each side presented 6 participants. RA Police team defeated RA Lawyers’ team with 19.5-16.5 score. The best individual players were recognized Armen Vardanyan from lawyer’s team and Derenik Uzunyan from policemen team.
