Armenia’s Acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian participated Thursday in a meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers’ Council in Moscow.
The Council approved 20 documents on different activities of the CIS member-states in various areas.
The participants discussed the issues of consultations on various fields between the CIS members’ foreign offices and increase of their efficiency, exchange of information on foreign policy and cooperation within international organizations. The Council also approved a cooperation program for 2014.
The agenda of the meeting included a draft announcement on the fight against illegal drug trafficking.
The meeting also approved a decision on declaring 2016 a year of education in the CIS.
