The situation resembles an equation with many unknown quantities, says political analyst Ruben Mehrabyan. “Everything will be clear only when the unknown quantities are determined,” he said adding that everything is done to ensure the cabinet reshuffle. “I shall not give any names, but I do not predict major changes as the shuffle is aimed at retaining the power,” said the political analyst. Speaking about the possible return of Armenia’s second President Robert Kocahryan, Ruben Mehrabyan said, “He will take steps to strengthen his place in this pyramid.” Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan tendered a letter of resignation on Thursday evening during the sitting of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK). “This is a balanced decision that was not made on the spur of the moment,” Eduard Sharmazanov, the party’s spokesperson and parliament deputy speaker, said after the HHK meeting.
