Farmers say they were cheated
Rafik Poghosyan, a resident of Noyakert Village in Armenia’s Ararat marz, has lost all hope that they will be able to harvest apricot crop this year. He says all villagers prepared for frostbite on the night of March 31 as was reported by the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Hydro-Meteorological Service Centre. “We were cheated, as all fruits were damaged by frosts on the night of March 30. Grapes, apricots, plums and almonds were all affected,” he said.
