A group of citizens today staged a protest action outside the UN Office in Armenia condemning UN’s indifference about the events in the Armenian-populated Syrian town of Kessab.
They left a letter at the office in which they demand that the UN denounce and make a legal assessment of Turkey’s terrorist acts. The activists say that as a UN member, Turkey is grossly violating the UN Charter.
UN Resident Coordinator Bradley Busetto met with the activists and took the letter.
The group is also going to turn to state agencies in Armenia with an appeal to send armed military detachments to Syria, which would be the best psychological support for the Armenian community in Syria.
