Prime Minister met IMF Armenian Mission head

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met the Armenian mission head of International Monetary Fund Mark Horon.

The speakers highly appreciated the cooperation and expressed confidence that it will be continued.

Mark Horton congratulated Prime Minister on “Extended Fund” project worth 125 million dollars approved by the IMF.

“IMF appreciated the route Armenia passed, new project and future prospects. All the directors, especially representing European countries, expressed their support to Armenia,”- noted the Armenian mission head of the IMF.

Prime Minister expressed confidence that the new project will be implemented successfully, as the former.

Then the parts discussed present economic situation in Armenia and possible developments, and issues in different spheres. Mark Horton stresses the importance of pension reforms in Armenia and expresses willingness to support that issue.

The parts expressed their viewpoints on different developments in the region. Mark Horton noted that the IMF is willing to provide their support to Armenia also later for overcoming possible risks and challenges.

The speakers turned also to the development of business sphere in Armenia, issues relating to the investments.
