Number of Armenians returning from Europe to double in 2014
After the readmission agreement signed between Armenia and European Union, the number of Armenians returning from EU member states will likely double this year, Head of the State Migration Service of Armenia, Gagik Yeganyan, told Pastinfo News Agency. “There is some misunderstanding in public regarding the readmission agreement,” he said adding that people in Armenia expect a large influx of Armenian citizens from the EU states. “Last year before the signing of the agreement we received some 50-60 return requests though we had separate agreements with 12 EU countries,” he added.
