Heritage Party Leader Raffi Hovannisian plans to begin a series of rallies, but this time he will not start a hunger-strike.
“My wife, Armenouhi, is against it [hunger-strike],” Hovannisian told reporters on Friday.
The leader of the opposition Heritage party invites everyone to the first rally slated for March 28.
While the former presidential candidate welcomes the cooperation of the parliamentary minority over the overthrow of the government, he demands a change of power starting from Serzh Sargsyan. “The sooner the four opposition forces discuss the issue, the better,” he said.
During his meeting with Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Raffi Hovannisian again pressed for Serzh Sargsyan’s resignation, but the two did not come to an agreement. “Anyway, I have not lost my hope,” says Mr Hovannisian.
In the end, Hovannisian reminded that as a supporter of the Constitution he is against self-sacrifice. “Everyone in my family is ready for sacrifice but we are not going to become dumb-ass martyrs.”
