Tension on Yerevan-Aparan road
There is tension on Yerevan-Aparan inter-state road. Policemen are trying to remove the residents who closed the road. “Open the road quickly,”- the policemen are crying, but the villagers oppose- “No road will be opened.” Ecologists Eghia Nersisyan, Gevorg Safaryan and others joined the residents. The village head Aleksan Aleksanyan tried to convince the residents to open the road, “Open the road, it is an inter-state road, emergency cars pass this road, Georgian trucks.” The residents are determined, “Remove the machines from the orchards.” Eghia Nersisyan said that now the RA law is being violated. “Next step will be that we will go and remove the machines from the area, they make the villagers migrate.” Police powers are getting more and more. We remind that Aragatsotn region 7 villages demand to stop the construction of the HPP near Aparan water reservoir.
