Head of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) parliamentary group, Levon Zurabyan, understands the concerns of Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan who decided to strengthen protection in parliament after the October 27, 1999 parliamentary carnage. As reported earlier, cameras are being installed in the National Assembly for security purposes.
“Fifteen years have passed since the October 27 bloodshed. There must be another reason behind these security measures. I believe the reason is that the Republican majority is endangered. The process is already underway and they have decided to take their teammates under control and monitor their contacts with opposition MPs,” said Levon Zurabyan.
