Trndez pagan ritual in Red hill
In Red hill Arordats covenant priests performed Trndez pagan ritual. The priests and ceremony attendees glorified Vahagn Dragonkiller, tasted wine and bread decorated with shields, danced national dances, sang patriotic songs, jumped over the fire. At the end of event all the participants took pieces of Trndez fire’s coals home. According to Arordats, Trndez is the prelude of Vahag’s birth and is celebrated 40 days before Vahag’s birth on March 21. Photos and text by Aza Sargsyan
