In the egg market the batches of outdated and incompletely compliant eggs have been found, the spokesman of the RA Ministry of Agriculture State Food Security Service Armineh Soukiasyan said to “A1+” during the phone conversation.
The service made observations based on the received complaints as well as the reports in press according which imported and outdated eggs are sold in shops with the 3-month expiration period.
The batches of outdated and incompletely compliant eggs were found in different markets, said Armineh Soukiasyan and added that both the local and imported goods were examined. “The sale of the found outdated eggs was suspended and the batches were destroyed, and the sale of incompletely compliant eggs was suspended and the example was sent to laboratory for examination,”- she assured.
Which amount is spoken of, the RA Ministry of Agriculture State Food Security Service will tell only after February 13, when the examinations are over.
We remind, that one of the egg importing companies is “Sovrano”, which belongs to the NA deputy Arman Sahakyan. Whether this company is also on the list of offenders, to this question Armineh Soukiasyan answered: “We don’t mention names of companies.”
Note, that according to the RA Government 1438-N decision of “Egg and egg products regulations establishing” the A class “Extra” type eggs are kept no longer than 7 days at air temperature 0O-20OC and 85-88% relative humidity, A class First sort eggs no longer than 25 days, washed eggs-12 days.
B class eggs are kept at 5OC – 20OC air temperatures, and the cracked eggs of that class are allowed to use in food or non-food products industry at air temperatures 0OC-5OC.
