Opposition activists detained overnight
Over ten activists of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) are reported to have been detained at around 02:20 a.m. According to the reports of the social networks, they were taken to the Kentron Police Department from Mashtots Avenue. Among the detainees are Areg Gevorgyan. Sargis Gevorgyan, David Vardanyan, Hayk Petrosyan who reportedly went to the avenue to inform people about HAK’s rally slated for March 1. After staying at the police department for three hours the activists were subjected to administrative penalty under Article 172 (Part 2) of the RA Administrative Code (improper choice of the venue).
